Thalapathy's Beast is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It is produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Vijay and Pooja Hegde, with Yogi Babu, Shine Tom Chacko, VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das in supporting roles. It may be a gangster movie.

After the completion of the production works of Master (2021), it was reported that Vijay and AR Murugadoss would collaborate for a project produced by Sun Pictures with the film's music composed by S. Thaman.
The project would mark Vijay and Murugadoss's fourth collaboration together after Thuppakki (2012), Kaththi (2014) and Sarkar (2018), the latter which was also produced by Sun Pictures.
The project was confirmed by Murugadoss in an interview and was set to begin after the release of Master, for which Vijay had made up his mind that he would only work in a new film after the release of Master. The project was reported to be a sequel to Thuppakki, but this was denied by Murugadoss who stated that it was an original script.
By October 2020, Murugadoss had walked out from the project due to creative differences with Vijay and Sun Pictures. After the exit of Murugadoss, multiple directors were in consideration to direct the project such as Vetrimaaran, Sudha Kongara and Magizh Thirumeni.
Anirudh Ravichander, who composed music for Master, recommended Nelson Dilipkumar to Vijay to narrate a script.In December 2020, Nelson signed on to direct the film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 65. Thaman was replaced by Anirudh.
