    1. *JEE( Joint Entrance Examination) selects students for admission to various engineering colleges in India. There are 2 different exams JEE Main and JEE Advanced.  JEE Main is conducted by CBSE while JEE-Advanced is conducted by different IITs as decided on  rotation basis.
    2. JEE-Mains selects students for admission to BE or B.Tech courses, Integrated MSc’s, B.Arch/B.Planning courses in the NITs, IIITs and all GFTIs (Government – Center & State Funded Technical Institutes).
    3. JEE-Advanced Students qualifying JEE Mains through the prescribed cut-off marks are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced
    4.  JEE Main Exam Pattern- There are 2 papers 
    5. Paper 1-Engineering Entrance Exam for B.Tech/B.E.( 3 hrs objective test on PCM of Class XII level) The test has negative marking. Exam can be taken as a paper pencil test or online.
    6. Paper 2-Architecture Entrance exam for B. Arch/ B.Planning. This is a 3 hr paper and has 3 parts.
    7. Objective test PCM, Aptitude Test, Drawing test
    8. Eligibility: XII PCM from a recognised Board, minimum aggregate 75% or in the top 20 percentile in the XII examination.(65% for Sc/ST)
    9. **Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) For admission to postgraduate and Doctoral  programmes  in Institutions under MHRD such as IITs IISc, Science research institutions a National Level Entrance Test GATE is conducted. Selected candidates get a scholarship/Assistantship in Engineering/Technology/ Science/ Architecture.
    10. Eligibility is a 3 or 4 year degree, technical diploma, architecture 5yr, Integrated 5 year degree courses, Postgrduates in Maths/ Sc/ Stats./ Computer Applications.  
    11. Aerospace science draws people with backgrounds in physics, mathematics, earth sciences, aerodynamics and biological sciences.
    12. (*)NASA recommends a degree in a variety of disciplines, including biomedical engineering, ceramic engineering, chemistry, industrial engineering, materials engineering, metallurgy, optical engineering, and oceanography. Aerospace engineers generally specialize at the master's level in these areas and also do a PhD before being taken in by NASA.
